WHAT IS AIRPORT CITY NEWARK COALITION (ACNC)?
The Airport City Newark (ACN) coalition represents a group of universities, government bodies, and research entities coordinating to maximize the benefit to Newark from its airport. For many years, this group has supported community interface, academic research, environmental review, urban planning and design, government and agency coordination, multi-modal transportation studies, and economic analysis to achieve its goal. The effort seeks to enable the City to take full advantage of the potential Newark Liberty International Airport offers. The ACN Coalition serves to amplify your concerns and bring information to you with as careful consideration as possible.
A Community Benefit Agreement (CBA) is a legally binding agreement between developers and community stakeholders that outlines specific benefits or improvements to the local community as part of a development project. It ensures that the project aligns with the needs and concerns of residents, often including affordable housing, local hiring, and environmental sustainability measures. The Community Benefit Agreement Framework is where your feedback holds the most value. The ACN Coalition serves to amplify your concerns and bring information to you with as careful consideration as possible.
